How to apply

. . . to AVANTI Summer MusicFest Workshop 2017.  Enrollment begins on January 9, 2017! 


Please read the following information first before beginning the application process.

  • Apply on-line.   AVANTI would prefer that you complete the Workshop application process on-line.  Please provide all requested information including a YouTube audition video link for all instruments, submit electronically and pay the application fee via the PayPal link provided. 


  • Download and print the application form only if you can not apply online.

– Fill out the application.  Please make sure to fill in all requested information including  signatures.  An incomplete form can delay acceptance.
– Mail a fully completed application form along with the non-refundable application fee of $30 by February 15 or $50 beginning February 16 to AVANTI Summer MusicFest, 27655 Middlebelt Road, Suite 160, Farmington Hills, MI 48334

For early applications prior to February 15, 2017 – non-refundable application fee $30

For applications after February 16, 2017 – non refundable application fee $50

Applications will be processed in the order in which they are submitted. Later applications will only be considered if places are still available.   An incomplete application can delay approval.

Notification of acceptance: Within two weeks but no later than April 15, 2017

Every effort will be made to notify applicants of their acceptance beginning January 22nd  and after that within two weeks of the submission of a complete application, but certainly no later than April 15, 2017. Once each instrumental section becomes full, successful applicants will be placed on a waiting list and apprised of their order on that list.

If for any reason an applicant is turned down (i.e., the instrument section has already been filled) the online application fee will be returned or, a check will NOT be cashed, and the applicant will be notified and encouraged to reapply next year.

Payment of tuition fees in full: May 15, 2017

Tuition fees of $375 must be paid in full by May 15, 2017 and mailed to AVANTI Summer MusicFest , 27655 Middlebelt Road, Suite 160, Farmington Hills, MI 48334.  An applicant who fails to pay his/her fees will be notified and his/her spot will be offered to an applicant on the waiting list.  Once accepted into the program, the applicant will receive an information package including a more detailed emergency form to complete.

It is understood that applications involving the confirmation of financial aid may be delayed as need and funding availability are assessed.


Fully paid tuition fees will be refunded according to the following deadlines in the event that a student must withdraw from the workshop.  Please call (734) 756-9499  to notify the workshop and make arrangements.

Prior to June 15 – full refund
From June 15 to July 14 – $150 refund
On or after July 15 – no refunds

Financial aid will be granted based on need. An applicant needing financial aid must fill in the applicable section on page 2 of the application form, as well as the Financial Aid form found on page 3.  Please note: financial aid is limited and will be distributed on a first come first serve basis.  In most cases, applicants will be offered partial tuition.
